Georgian · Historical Nuskhuri
Writing system course · 8 lessons · 38 entries
38 supplied historical letter forms in 8 short lessons, with Latin readings, names and optional original glyph images.
Nuskhuri is a historical Georgian manuscript script associated with ecclesiastical writing. Together with Asomtavruli, it belongs to the Khutsuri writing tradition. Compare these forms with the corresponding modern letters rather than treating the scripts as separate languages.
The course pairs 38 supplied image forms with their Nuskhuri Unicode letters and the source readings. Images are optional practice representations; the text remains available for typing and font-based tracing. Historical letters remain labeled, and filenames are kept out of learner-facing answers.
How to practice
Look at the letter and its supplied reading, then trace it and practice recognition, production and writing from memory. Choose the available representations when adding the course. The Georgian input palette supports typing when your device keyboard is unavailable.
Read these examples freely without an account. In the app you can preview lessons, study a private copy and progress through the course one lesson at a time.
